Makatto Introduces Online Auctions

of Celebrity Items to Benefit Charity

Virtual Marketplace has Celebrities Sell their Items to Raise Money for a Large Variety of Causes

SAYREVILLE, N.J., March 23 -- Makatto.com, a popular online selling website launched November of last year, has added celebrity auctions to its list of features.  Celebrities have listed items on Makatto (http://www.makatto.com), to raise money for various causes. Charities are listed on Makatto and the winner of the auction chooses to whom their money will be donated. Sponsored charities include: Yele Haiti, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, The American Heart Association and The Red Cross. Products and causes are constantly being added.

The celebrity charity auctions build on Makatto's established community of regular users who buy, sell and resell their own items or products. Makatto also offers a large selection of affiliate items at competitive prices. One reason for Makatto's rapidly increasing popularity amongst sellers is that it is free to post items. It combines the appeal of free services with the professionalism associated with costly posting sites. Users can sell by using either traditional listings or Makatto's unique 3D Storefronts. These Storefronts are interactive, realistic shopping environments to display items as if you were in an actual store.

Makatto's addition of celebrity items comes at a perfect time as a loyal audience of sellers is quickly forming of people looking to make additional money during tough times. Many users who join Makatto do not have products to sell, they exist by building 3D Storefronts and then reselling the items of other Makatto members. Resellers participate to be part of what they feel is an exciting community of sellers and with hopes of earning extra cash.

Certainly Makatto's users will be excited to have celebrity items up for auction along with their own items. Hopefully the Makatto community along with first time visitors will bid generously on these charity auctions and benefit some great causes.
